Circumstances of a domestic nature render me very desirous of proceeding as far as Ceylon by the Mail Steamer which on the 28th February next, Hongkong leaves by my intention being to return if possible the Steamer which takes its departure Point de Galle on the 24th of the ensuing month, by which arrangements my absence from the Colony would in all probability not exceed seven weeks.
